Introduction:
This guide for Property management is for owners of large properties
or multiple homes and for those in the process of acquiring such property.
It can also serve as help to Property managers who wish to improve on
the standard of their present employer's properties.
The main purpose of this guide is to provide information on how to fully
enjoy your Property by effectively reducing the issues, which require
and occupy your time and mind. Furthermore, you will automatically gain
better control and create a more comfortable environment.
There are factors, which make each property individual. Therefore this
guide must be seen as a general reference and each property should be
analyzed individually.
General:
When
analyzing your Property there are a number of things to consider. Amongst
the most important are: Is it the residential home or holiday retreat,
how frequently is the property used, the location, the size and grounds,
the number of permanent staff and the frequency of entertainment?
It is advisable to view each Property as a small company. Beside the investment,
there is a budget, staff, suppliers, vendors and the need for constant
care. Nothing is produced or sold, however there are problems and time
consuming issues that need to be managed. The right management and structure
will reward you with a property with fewer concerns and a more pleasant
atmosphere for you and your guests.
This guide is divided into 8 different topics, with the largest devoted
to domestic staff.
